Alexis Phipps Boyd
Title IX Investigator
Alexis Phipps Boyd joined the Office of Diversity and Equity (ODE) as a Title IX Investigator in July 2014. As a Title IX Investigator, Alexis investigates complaints of sexual and gender-based discrimination involving UConn students. Alexis works with the Title IX Coordinator and Lead Title IX Investigator to ensure the University’s commitment to responding to reports of sexual violence, relationship violence and stalking. Additionally, Alexis works with multiple on and off-campus partners on prevention and education initiatives.
Prior to joining ODE, Alexis worked at Loyola University Maryland as the Assistant Director of Student Life for Student Conduct. Her higher education experience includes work in student conduct, Greek life, residential life and alcohol and other drug education. In addition to Title IX , Alexis’ research and professional interests include diversity and social justice education and retention of historically marginalized communities in Higher Education.
Alexis received both a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Masters of Science in Higher Education Administration from Texas A&M University, where she was involved in Student Activities, Greek Life and Student Life. While in her graduate program, Alexis’s research concentrated on women of color in leadership, parental interest in their students’ alcohol consumption and the retention of students of color in higher education.
